This is awesome. Can we get a general idea of what you've spent so far? I'm planning on starting an overhaul on my lude soon and basically everything that was wrong with yours is the same on mine. I'm 18 and my parents make me pay for everything too/

Before you get started realize youll never make your money back. With the car and parts I have probably spent $1600. And did about $2000 of labor. hahaha Good luck mang!

Well I was bored. And daddy picked up an oil pan stud that i broke (:ugh, plus an oil pan gasket, and oil. So we replaced the gasket and cleaned up teh bottom of the motor which was covered in oil. And now there are no more leaks. And the old oil pan gasket was a ***** to get off because the previous owners glued the ****ing gasket on because they couldnt align it right with the holes. :/

More updates thursday. Exhaust related.

Ok guys here is an update for the mofo'ing bad. While i was driving the car today the driver side front wheel came off.

But the great thing is that it didnt damage anything that is important to the way the car handles or runs. It chewed up the front fender tho. SO NOW I NEED A DRIVER SIDE FRONT FENDER AND INNER FENDER!!!!

I would love to buy just the one fender or I would buy a set of JDM fenders. Thanks guys for the help in my time of need. hahahaha And yes im ok and was able to fix it on the spot... Yay for the rigid prelude body!

Ok. I must ask. Why did the wheel fall off? Did someone forget to torque his lug nuts?

Its okay. If it makes you feel any better, when I had my car serviced at a Honda dealership they forgot to tighten the lug nuts on one of my wheels. I lost my locking lug nut and 3 of the other 4 regular nuts were loose. I am glad I caught it before the same thing happened.

I'm glad you are okay and the car didn't get damaged too badly. The build looks great! Keep up the good work.

Ya the car will be getting a very much needed long manicure.

So a cool update for the theives that could be watching my thread. My dad does business with a guy that puts Lojack in his trucks. And the guy decided he was going to hook our family car and my prelude with a new post-prototype system. Its called MMTS which stands for Multi Micro-chip Tracking System. It is a service by Lojack where they install alot of small microchips throughout the car that dont need an intenna and run on their own batteries. The cool thing about this system is that if one is disconnected from the others it sets off the car stolen report. The only way to disconnect them is with authorization from Lojack. These are past the prototype stage and are being used on my dads semis. And are set to be released to every consumer by 2013. FU theives.

Much respect to you man. I had a bonding experience with my dad when we swapped an h22 into my first 4th gen. Enjoy the time with your dad, you will look back on it when you're 27 like me.

Also, I want to give you a high-five for not being one of those 16 year olds that beats the crap out of their Prelude, or throws an awful body kit on it... trust me, i did this to my first Prelude. I was lucky to find a 94 Si in GREAT shape about 2 years ago and I'm all about keeping it stock (and finding rare OEM parts.... just look at my signature haha).

So again, props to you, and thanks for being an inspiration to us older guys who think these projects are too much work.

Thank you very much for the kind words. You know I just do what I think looks good. And it seems that most of the honda community is on my side when i say I hate body kits. hahaha

But I dont see a need to beat the hell out of your car on the street. Who are you racing? I might beat up the car legally autoxing it.

Check out the classifieds section and make a "WTB" post (want to buy) and someone might reach out to you. Look for the part-out threads.
