RPS clutches come highly recommended. I personally don't have one but when the time comes to upgrade, I'm going with RPS. Do a search and you'll find lots of information about what kind of clutches people use.
I run a clutchmasters stage 4. Some people dislike one clutch, while others like it, and vice versa. Everyone seems to have different opinions, as do shops. I have personally read or heard about problems with pretty much every brand of clutch.

Originally posted by preludechic I have a clutchmasters stage 3. It's not broken in yet, but so far it's really grippy. It gives my left leg a workout.
Is the stage 3 streetable, in your opinion, or would you say it leans more to strip use only?

It is VERY streetable, honestly, I was surprised. I love it. I was going for an ACT or RPS, but then I got an amazing deal on this clutchmasters, and bought it instead. I'm very happy with it.

ive been running the act hdss organic disc/heavy duty clutch for over a year now and have been very pleased with it. took me a day or so to adjust the the grip of it, but after the initial break-in period the clutch is now very comfortable.
Do you guys think it would be hard for a manual shift newbie to learn on a car with an aftermarket clutch? because I just plan on learning on the prelude that I buy, and maybe the car might have some mods such as a ACT hdss.

learn on another car, you'll prolly stall it a few times, but the act hdss didn't seem that hard of a clutch. personally, i learned to drive stick on my car when i got it (it was used) and i just HAD to change the clutch fluid after...it was black as motor oil
