Clutch or Master cylinder

This morning as i put my car into first gear, it revved and at the last second jammed into 1st, from what i understand it's a classic sign of the clutch going out. just wondering if anyone has had any problem with their master cylinder leaking for their 1992 Si. Also wondering if it's just needing a new clutch and i am being paranoid about the master cylinder where you can find a decent street clutch kit for under 245

I just had a problem of my master and slave cylinders leaking...

I had them reaplaced along with the hydrolics that go with the clutch. You could probably find an ACT disk for that price. This is only if you do not want to upgrade the pressure plate. I have the ACT HD PP and modified street disk and love it...

Hope this helps...

master cylinder's only last 37k miles from what I've heard. If you lie down in the drivers foot well, reach up above your clutch you will feel the master cylinder, if its moist it needs replacing (it should be dry), you can do it yourself, I'm buying a new cylinder, there about £40 in the uk ($70ish)

Hope this helps
