clutch and flywheel question

Any of you guys out there have a Clutchmasters stage III clutch. Thinking of getting one but don't know anything about it. Looked at the wesite and couldn't find any info on it. I'm probably blind. If you have one, what do you think about it and how is the engagement, etc.

Also anyone with a clutchmasters flywheel. Anyone heard good things about these. Any info I would appreciate.

I have that exact clutch. I like it a lot....it is very very easy to daily drive....pedal pressure isn't stiff and it drives nice and easy...but when racing it bites damn nice, much better than stock.

If you plan on racing the car I would suggest opting for the stage 4. I had two stage 3's that didn't last more than around 3K miles.

I also had the CM flywheel.

How come I see everyone with Clutch Masters? Am I the only person that likes ACT?? Does ACT suck or something??

I got the Fidanza FLywheel, ACT Heavy Duty Pressure Plate and 6 puck disc, and Koyo throw out bearing.

Did I make a mistake going with ACT?

ACT ownz

I had one in my 1st prelude for 30,000 miles

this clutch has been in the car for 20,000 miles - they both bite hard, and feel the same they did the day they were installed.

Also, ACT will waranty their stuff out very willingly.

yeh i'm getting ACT next or Exedy. But now i'm just trying to decide if the lightened flywheel is really worth the money on preludes?? or is it all hype? I mean..i driven cars with lightened flywheel. Some feel nice, some dont. I never driven a lude with lightened flywheel so i'm not sure.

To be quite honest I don't know if I'd get a lightened flywheel again if I had the choice.

Why do you say that. After I had one, and waited for a replacement from CM, while using the stock flywheel, I couldn't stand having that big heavy weight back in there.

I MUCH prefer a lightweight flywheel.

Well since my car is my daily driver...at times i find having a lightened flywheel a pain in the ass...like in stop and go driving and when im tired/lazy (since traffic sucks here).

Also I really don't have any proof of it but it I remember when I initially started driving with the flywheel it seriously felt like I lost performance in 4th and 5th gear....the heavier mass of the stock flywheel seemed to "carry" the car stronger...pull it with stronger momentum...but i dont know.

I never noticed a loss in performance, only a gain. The throttle tip in might be less noticable, but it spins up much faster.
