Clearing out tails?

I've seen this done on a bucnh of peoples cars. I want to know how people take out the orange piece on the stock tail lights. Anyone know how to do this? Do I need to buy anything? Thanks!

you need to get some flourescent lighting cover, like the stuff that is over the lights at an office building or something. Then just throw the tails in the oven at like 250 degrees for 5-10 minutes take them out pull the outer piece off then take out the orange piece and replace with a new one you fabricated from the lighting cover and then reseal the lights.

they seal right back up. First squeeze them back together while they are still cold, then heat them up again so the epoxy gets warmed up and then they will be seal up again like originally. Good luck, they look great when finished.

I wouldve done that except i have a red car, and i like how the clear breaks up the back end, all red would be tight on any other color.

well i was gonna leave a little corner white and the yellow i was gonna turn to red but the more i think bout the harder its gonna be to match up the right color red so that it will match the rest of the taillight. unless i cut up my old taillights from my old 93 lude....

Here is a link with step by step instructions on clearing stock tails with pics. I prefer using the oven method for a better all around finish. But the choice is yours
