Don't put on your blinker in front of a cop if you don't want amber...would red be okay since some cars have clear and red tails?

rear turn signals can be red or amber.

wouldn't the oil on the tint/paint cause the bulb to explode?

You think yours are bright. I have a PIAA Extreme white bulbs behind my yellow taillights. You can see my blinker a mile away

i gots some APC bilbs in mine. they are red but when not illumitated you see a silverish coat on it which illiminates the visiblity of a red bulb in the turn signal during the day when i am not using them. However they arent that bright and they dont match the tail light color exactly. But i really dont care cause it looks better than amber get red
