Clear bumper lights

To complete my swap I needed an H22a header so I was on opt auto buying it and went browsing through the specials for clearance junk. I happened upon a pair of clear corners for a 4g and they were like 20 bucks so I grabbed em. After sitting in my garage for 3 months I went to put em on Saturday and see if I liked em. (They look a bit funky with the amber lenses in the front) Problem is, there is no hole for the bulb to mount up to them? WTF??? I imagine someone has had this problem before? I guess I have to drill a hole in the back manually? Then notch it out to match the OEM one? Has anyone done this before? Advice?

Are you talking about the corners next to the headlights or the bumper turn signal lights? If they are the turn signal lights, they may be JDM, which don't have inlets for bulbs because they had sidemarker lights on the fender.

They are the side bumper lights. Clear. No holes for the bulb inlet, the cylindrical part is there, but the inside of it is solid, without the hole with the 2 notches to insert and retain the bulb. It's a genuine honda part, or at least it came in a geniune honda box. I thought the JDM BB4 bumper lights were all amber? Haven't touched em yet. I guess if I have to fabricate openings for the bulbs I have to. Any advice on how to do this? I was gonna use a drill press and a hole saw- the hole diameter looks about 16mm, plus I gotta cut the 2 3/32"X3/32" notches the bulb retainers pass through before you twist the bulb an lock it in place.

So they made clear JDM bumpers? Can you tell they're JDM from the outside (do they look different than a clear set with the holes in back?) Honestly I don't know if it would be worth the hassle to sell and ship them and buy a domestic set of clears with the holes in the back already. How much do you think I could get for em? I bought off opt auto for like $25 bucks. Is the refractor on the lense different for one that's meant to have a bulb in it?

I know the JDM fender has the light in it, I don't see why they didn't go with 3 signal lamps...If I got JDM fenders I would want all three to signal in sequence....don't know how I would work that, but I'm sure it's do-able.

One way to tell if they're authentic OEM is if you see the word "Stanley."

I bought the same lens on ebay and they came the same way without the hole in the back for the bulb. They are a honda part because they have the honda part # on them. If you look closely you will see the outline of the opening for the bulb on the back of the light. I used a dremmel to drill it out. it doesn't have to be perfect, just close. the bulbs went in with a little grease and the twist to lock holds it in. just cut and fit a little at a time until you get it right.

They're JDM clear side bumper lights. I have the amber ones. No bulb socket , it's filled in. Reason why JDM preludes have the fenders with sidemarkers.

I just purchased some amber jdm bumper lights and drilled out the sidemarker to add a light. I used a 5/8 bit and drilled real slow, both drilled out real easy with no problems. Just make sure the bit is centered. For the notches I used a real small drill bit and pushed it into the plastic to notch it out. For this I used a 1/8 bit. After I notched it I then moved the drill back and forth to ream it out a little bigger. I had my original lens next to me to use as a reference. This process was real easy and it works great. They twist in and seal just like OEM.
