Cleaning the inside of headlights

Anyone ever try to clean the inside of their headlights without having to remove them? I just installed my jdms and wired them and now with the lights on I can see all these streaks inside the glass!!!

How can I clean these, is there any easy way?

No. I learned the hard way to leak/fog test lights before installing them (or putting the bumper back on.)

i heard that if you open them up, chances are they'll leak easily in the future

If the lights continue to fog up the streaks will eventually come back.

I just pulled apart an extra JDM that I had. It is quite easy to do. You just use a heat gun and be very careful and take it slow.

Well, I kept as much of the black sealant stuff as I could. I just pulled it all off and rolled it into long strips and laid it in the channels. I haven't sealed the light back together yet but I figure if there are any leaks some silicone sealant could close them.

a screwdriver. They are just spring clips. Push a flat screwdriver under them and pry them off, it shouldn't take much force.

Headlight will leak for 2 reason. 1-there is a crack somewhere and water can get in. 2- You are missing a little black rubber 'L' shaped thing that goes in the back. This happened to me, I was changing a blub and acidentally knocked one of those lose and the next time it rained alot of water got in.

I have taken various headlight/taillight assemblies apart and have never had any of them leak. Even the first pair i had ever done does not leak, so dont be afraid to take the jdm ones apart to clean them.
