Cigarette Lighter Mod--> VW Mini Torch Flashlight

A while back, a friend of mine rented a VW Touareg. I noticed it had this cool lil flashlight that plugged into the cigarette lighter assembly. So I looked around and found out it was called a mini "torch". I put one of these in my STi and it fit fine. However, when i tried putting one into the Lude, the cigarette lighter assembly was too large to fit. So i found someone parting out a wrecked WRX and bought the ligher housing assembly from him for $10. So i took apart the stock one and hooked up the WRX one. Now it fits!! Sorry i didnt do a writeup but installation was rather trivial. Just remove the stock one and install the WRX one.

And heres the "torch" that Im talking about....

The torches recharge each time you plug them into the assembly. If you search around, you can buy one of these torches new for about $20.

does the lighter housing assembly fit without any modification... (i'm assuming it's smaller to fit the smaller mini torch)

That's a nice touch, especially considering I don't smoke. I'll have to look into it
