I have a set (front & rear) on my 94 Lude Si...they aren't bad. Pretty good for what you are paying for. Otherwise, like anything else, you usually get what you pay for, so I would go for the name brand stuff if possible.

I had a set like that (made by Eibach).. the plastic bushing between the adjustible nut and the main mounting bolt wore out and my entire upper A arm shook like crazy on turns unless the road was completely smooth. If there was even the slightest bump (like an expansion joint) it felt like my wheels were flapping around.

I ended up replacing them just today with Ingalls units.

I had the "Cam nut" version on for about a year and a half. One of the other guys I race with was surprised they lasted that long. His wore out after 8 months. He's also on Ingalls kits now.

I might try to rebuild my Eibach ones but I'm going to use oil impregnated Bronze (bearing material) for the bushing and have it machined it to fit..

I posted about the ball joints in another thread.. but I'll repost here..

Those ball joints, although a good idea, don't work well in lowered applications.

If you look at the stock upper A-arm, the ball joint presses in flat at the top. With the SPC ball joints they extend above the A-arm around 5/8 of an inch because of the adjustment nut.. The problem with this is that if you've lowered the car there is a better than good chance that the top of the new ball joint will hit the inside of the fender make a really nasty banging noise and leave a dent...

GRANT, you've sort of crushed my hopes of getting these ball joints...but do you know this from word of mouth, or is it just your theory of them?

but wouldn't the type of suspension make a big diff if it will hit the top part of the ball joint?? my tein's are on pretty stiff, and wouldn't it take a really hard bottoming out to hit that top of that joint?

just doesn't make sense to me to me, that they would produce something like that that is gonna hit the top of your fender wall all the time...

and they mention for autox'ers...which would mean some harsh driving...i don't know
