Checking Oil Question...

It's a stupid and simple question. When I park my car on the slightest hill...i mean car doesn't even roll in neutral...and i check my oil...it's down to botton dot. Then after I move the car..and am on completely flat ground, the oil is back up to top dot. I know that checking oil on a hill will lead to inaccurate readings, but that severe? Does anyone else have this problem? Any input? Thanks.

Car is cool both times I check..just that whenever it's a teenie slant...oil seems to be A LOT less. It's not a hill...just like a slant caused by a sewer drain. It seems like if I check my oil on anything other than a completely flat surface, the oil seems to be near or at bottom dot. That can't be normal....can it??
