Alright,
I got bored the other day, so I started fooling around with my brake light to see if I could do anything with it. Well, here is the first protoype that I whipped up in about a 1/2 hour. Tell me what you think, pros/cons, etc. Im pretty sure its still legal, since you can clearly see the light. Just a little more custom stuff to separate my lude from others.

you have to go to the pic you want to host and right click then to properties. Copy the url and post it like you just did. Don't copy the address bar

Definitely clever. It took a while for me to notice it was the Honda symbol. I just disconnected that rear brake light since I got the LED spoiler. I got complaints that it was annoying to see four brake lights at once. Anyways, as long as you like what you did, that is all that matters.

yeah, I did the same thing, but a couple of weeks ago my LED spoiler just happened to crap out on me and I cant firgure out why. I took apart the whole spoiler and checked the fuse for the light and checked all of the wires and everything was fine, but the light wouldnt work. So I just decided to keep my original 3rd brake light and add some flare to it.

doesn't the jdm rear brake light look something like that? i think it says "prelude" with the honda symbol on top. anyways, that looks nice.

after awhile I didn't want to see it so I spray painted the red lense black so you couldn't see the light.

Took me forever to find on of these, I swear.

It's not really that bright. I used the nightshot on my camcorder to take it. It lights up the same color as the dash lights.

yeah, Im gonna try to do that as soon as I get some more time.....It will be more difficult i suspect though!!

It was actually pretty simple:
1. take off the third brake light by removing the black plastic cover on the roof inside the car, unscrewing the two 10mm bolts between the wiring connector, and disconnecting the wiring connector
2. find a pic of a honda emblem online(White "H" with black background)
3. enlarge it to fit the size of the brake light, print it out, then carefully cut the White "H" out using a razor blade or something sharp to get a precise cut
4. place the brake light on top of the paper and cut the paper around the light to give it the same shape
5. After the shape is cut out, find some sort of clear plastic to keep the "H" from curling up, because it will (I used plastic report covers, but you can even use a large ziploc sandwich bag)
6. Make sure to have the plastic on both sides of the cut-out "H" to keep it flat
7. Tape the emblem to the topside of the brake light, making sure it is centered and all parts of the "H" are inside the light, because the light will only show parts of the "H" that are fully inside the light ( in other words, you will have a deformed emblem shining when the brake is lit)
8. Don't worry about the tape on the upper portion of the brake light, because you will not be able to see it once you have re-installed it
9. Re-install the brake light, check to make sure the "H" is centerd and flat between the plastic, and now you are done.....

Alright, I need some help....Does anyobdy have a nice pic of "Prelude" written in the Honda cursive letters.....Ive been searching for a pic forever to trace, but I cant find anything...The pic need to be big enough so you can see it in the brake light...Any pics are appreciated..

I used the same pic from three posts above (the one with the Prelude logo lit up), just saved it as a bitmap then stretched it to make it fit.

Did ludes come with that brake light if they did not have the spoiler light?
