o.k. guys...

the sticker on the rear of the vehicle says 2.3i. This is the sticker that comes on the vehicle from the factory. It is obviously for the H23A and is the same as the Si or SR.

As for the exhaust, i don't believe in the addition of extra weight for potential good looks (especially when it likely decreases horsepower).

And as for the rear light, because it is on the left the vehicle has to be from somewhere that is left hand drive (not right hand drive). You'll also notice the absence of rear side bumper lights.

If any of you are interested in the rear light, I purchased one while I was in Italy last year. I mounted it on my car, and it looks exactly like the picture. I purchased the entire housing and I was delighted to see that there are template outlines for the lights on the inside of the USDM bumpers. I simply cut out the template on the left and mounted the light.

The rear bumper, or the light & housing is for sale. I'll have to check how much I payed for the piece (I believe it was around 200 canadian).

I previously modified my vehicle in the way mentioned above. Note the rear bumper light on the left and the 2.3 i emblem.

Yep, it's a fog light that is required on every european car. It's just as bright as a brake light when you step on your brakes. Just like how sidemarkers are required for every european car. Screw DOT standards, we should adopt european code for safety.

PARKING LIGHT

if anyone is still readin this,

to me, it looks like it might be either a rear fog OR a rear parking light..
my dad's Benz is set up so that if you park on a dark street you can leave the rear and front low beam lights on, on a chosen side of the vehicle.. that way people crusin down the dark street will see your car and might steer clear

im nto sure.. but thats just my understanding.. and ya, it probably woudl be a left hand drive version because if you park on the right side of the stree (the side you drive), it will be noticed when you park by the curb

later guys
