check engine light... thoughts?

My car threw a check engine light and vtec is no longer engaging... any thoughts other than low oil?

Jump the connector. It is a plug located behind where the stereo is. The plug will be either green of blue. Stick a paper clip in it to complete the circut. Then read the code from the light. A long light=10 and a fast blink=1. Post the number you get from doing this and someone can tell you when why the CEL is coming on.

Good luck. You might want to try to use the search feature and see if others have encountered this same problem. I wouldn't no since I don't have vtec.
