Check engine light on after powerwashing engine won't go above 3000 rpm 2.2 non vtec - Honda Prelude Forum

Does anyone know what this can be, I just powerwashed my engine and now the check engine light is on and the engine won't rev past 3000 rpm, It's a 96 Prelude with a non vtec 2.2 engine.

i hope you covered the air filter box, spark plug holes, and fuse box

I worked at a detail shop and car dealers and nearly every car that gets cleaned gets the engine sprayed down with degreaser and power washed, and I have not seen too many problems, once in a while water in distributer if it's not covered and I've noticed Honda's to have the most problems with check engine lights, alot of the times some other cars have a slight problem but if left running for an hour everything dries up and is fine. Ohhh well. all said and done with.
