Check engine light on after powerwashing engine won't go above 3000 rpm 2.2 non vtec

Does anyone know what this can be, I just powerwashed my engine and now the check engine light is on and the engine won't rev past 3000 rpm, It's a 96 Prelude with a non vtec 2.2 engine.

Well, it's not my problem anyone more, I just sold the car as-is. Thanks anyway

I worked at a detail shop and car dealers and nearly every car that gets cleaned gets the engine sprayed down with degreaser and power washed, and I have not seen too many problems, once in a while water in distributer if it's not covered and I've noticed Honda's to have the most problems with check engine lights, alot of the times some other cars have a slight problem but if left running for an hour everything dries up and is fine. Ohhh well. all said and done with.

Everything dries up and is fine? That seems retarded, i believe if water gets in the distributor than it's ****ed.
