Cheap Struts - Honda Prelude Forum

Would it be ok for me to use those cheap gas struts all around from Autozone on my lude that is lowered 1.5 inches on coilovers. I am worried they'd fail on me quicker cuz my car is lowered. I don't have time and money to order nice struts. Should I be ok with those on, how long would they last?

Find somebody with a 2001 that just lowered his car. he should have virtually brand new OEM prelude shocks you can use...they'll last at last a season. I got some with 20k for only $75!!

I was wondering this cuz I already spent $180 on a set of struts, I needed them real fast, the shop will install them tommorow at a "discount" because the boss isn't there and they feel guilty that all my struts blew out last week when they put in the coilovers. Those struts had 155k on them so it was expected, I am just curious how long these autozone ones will last under normal driving conditions and a lowered suspension.
