I think I was practically asking for a JDM H22A. I am amazed that the belt was still holding up, Texas heat hits around 109 degrees, I have redlined it a couple of times just to get vtec out of my system. I went to Houston, Texas and back to Dallas, almost a 5 hour drive. Mishifted a couple times with this belt, had a couple street races; the point is, this belt has been through a LOT!!!!!!
116k miles...and I got to change it out before something happend The mechanic said that the belt was ready to shatter.
Lude is still in the shop, the timming is off like crazy, it's retarded or something, but extremely sluggish. Is timming our cars that hard? (H22A/H23A owners)
Anyway here is the pics of the belt.
And the crack that could of ended it all
The steal is even coming out wow...

You think that's bad, i should have taken pics of my timing belt when about 10 teeth were completely gone, causing me to get a fresh JDM h22 ...

Doing the timing on the car is not hard at all...line up the flywheel, and then the cam gears. There's arrows and stuff, it's explained perfectly in the helms.
wow charlie, good thing you got it out in time. mine had never been changed when i bought the car at 121k. i put on one the next weekend at 122k. the autotensioner was completely extended so i replaced that as well "just in case". the belt was a little brittle, stretched out, but didnt have any cracks like yours.

You guys shopuld have seen the timing belt on my 1986 Dodge Shelby Turbo Charger, I took the t-belt off to change at about 90K, I remove the belt and start to inspect it, breaks in my hand! Dried out to hell.

Yup my autotensioner had to be replaced as well, it wouldn't adjust anymore. Car is still in the shop, should be out today
