i already dropped in a h22a4 into my 92 Prelude s. the swap is nearly done just i believe my car is running off of the battery when i jump start the car. so anybody who has done a h22a4 engine swap into a obd1 prelude help me out !
-i have gone through most wire connetions and doubled checked them already. for the ALTERNATOR there is A16 (wht/grn) which is the Alternator and i have tested the continuity for this from the ecu to the alt and it is good. There is also D9 (wht/red) which is the ALT and i have also tested for continuity and it is also good. i doubled checked all grounds and have wired the grounds that im suppose to for the ecu to the engine (A23, A24, B2). My battery cable's are hooked up correctly (transmission/frame etc.)
finally i came across D1 (wht/yel) Battery which was not wired to anything (from the ecu) and is lying around. I would like to know where this wire from the ecu should lead to and where to connect it.
as far as wiring for my alternator and battery, would these three wires be the only reason as to why my car keeps dying from running off of the battery ?
sorry for the longevity of this, just want to make it as clear as possible, any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated.
When I did my swap I had the same problem, The way I fixed mines was that my alternator with the JDM H22 was no good, So I used the alternator from the H23 but if u do that u have to swap the pully wheels on the the two alternators for it to fit with the belts. after I did that my car never had that problem again.

Yeah I was gonna say, the alt is probably bad. Take it off and take it to an AutoZone or PepBoys and test it (free). Also, if you use an alt from an S or Si, it'll work fine, but they're charge slightly less.. the S/Si alts are 90amp, the Vtecs are 95 amp.
thanx for the info guys but the alt is good. i had one last important ground wire that i missed while wiring.. whew.. alt is charging the battery now. thanx a lot.
