changing valves and retainers and camshaft
Would changing the valves and retainers and camshafts require a professional mechanic or can one do it themselves???

Depends on your workspace, tools, and confidence level.

The answer to your question is within your question.
The difference between stock and performance camshafts is that stock camshafts are stock, and performance camshafts (many different kinds available) are performance oriented in nature.

Racing me isn't gonna make you come across as any less of an idiot.
Besides, a 4th gen against a TSX would be a pretty boring race.

Typically, I work through the week. But since I'm a salaried employee, I can afford to be lazy every once in a while.
What's an "H GURO"? Is it similar to a guido?
