changing a/c dryer

Has anyone here changed the a/c dryer on a 4th gen? mine's started blowing mist out of the vents just lately, so I'm guessing it's the dryer that's at fault. switching to recirc seems to stop the problem. i can't figure out though whether you need to drain the refrigerant before swapping it car's a JDM vtec with climate if it makes any difference

mist out of the vents has nothing to do with the dryer.

the mist is caused by the temperature difference between the cold a/c air and the warmer air inside the car (or air being taken in from the outside). has it become more humid lately?

It's always pretty humid during summer here in the UK. I'd just put up with it, but if I keep the a/c running when it starts doing it, I'd probably not be able to see where i'm going after a while The car's a JDM, and I'm guessing Japan must be pretty humid, so I really can't believe Honda wouldn't have done something about it

I'd thought the dryer removed the moisture from incoming air, but reading this it seems as though it's actually the evaporator that does this? possibly so filled up with dust and stuff that it's not draining properly??
