VIS is a very good company. All cf hoods look like that underneath, VIS makes one of the sturdiest frames. Other good companies are, Sunny Styling, Fiber Images, and if you can find one (heh, good luck), Spoon

VIS has a couple grades. there is Grade A, which is a CF hood, with a fiberglass structures, and rounded edges, there is Grade A+ which has part of it in C/F. Grade A++ or Double A, is C/F all around, they tend to be more expensive...

I have the FI hood and it is so nice, it has CF under the hood and fitment is absolutly perfect. Had it for a while now and still looks flawless.

My hood was litterally made in some dudes backyard and I bought it from him on E-bay... I got REALLY lucky. It's one of the best fitting hoods I've seen, but there area some problems with it. It's a risk everytime I put the hood support in it because that area wasn't reinforced at all. That and I need hood pins because above 80 it bends REALLY bad. But, for 200$ I got a really good hood.

Don't forget about Bodykits Northwest, they're supposed to be better than Fiber Images. Kaminari and Spoon make CF hoods too...

i would like to say that mine is about 12 pounds, if that is heavy like my stock hood, i dont' think i care. but me and my co-worker carried my hood roughly 5 blocks to get the hood onto my car, and it wans't hard, just bulky

Can you send me their contact information, I'm interested in getting one of those hoods.

Also, does the carbon fiber weave wrap around under, like VIS?

I'm am fairly happy with my vis, and it is a ton lighter than my stock hood, that's what I bought it for, I also like the reinforced latch, I did a 140 sprint on a empty freeway at the butt crack of dawn, and it stayed solid.

However the fitment now that I've played with it for a while could be better, I mean the lines are straight but the down sloping curve of the hood doesn't exactly fit the down slope of the fenders, but I also know that it wasn't made at the honda dealer also,so I kind of expected some difference.
