I'm considering a CF hood for both the Prelude and the Speed but I'm not sure if it will look "right" on the Milano Red Prelude.
I know it will look good on the Speed because the Speed is a dark color but I'm afraid there will be too much contrast with the red and black.
Most of you guys know my car and know that I'm more "form over function" oriented, so with that in mind, do you think it will look alright? I just don't want it to stick out like a sore thumb and have people think that I have a primered hood on the car. Sure enthusiast will know but the general population won't if it sticks out that much.
Is the whole carbon fiber fad phasing out? I haven't entered a show in two years so I'm not really up to date anymore.
I thought we had an appearance forum but I didn't see anything in the menu's.
I've never honestly seen a 4th gen. (milano) w/ a cf hood, but I do think that it would look fantastic. A buddy of mine has a VR-4 3000Gt... it's milano red, and he just got a cf hood on, and it looks CRAZY good! Of course he has gunmetal rims, so those sort of accent it, but nevertheless, I say go for it!

Even the general public should know the difference between the CF and primer paint. I would say go for it.
My lude is also Milano red, so please post a picture after you install it. It might motivate me to put one on too.

I've seen it and I woudn't prefer it on a milano red lude, makes for too much of a contrast. However I have seen one a a milano red 4g with black rims and it did look sic.
Mark, i say you should... i think it looks great... cf with red is one of the best combination.
Sorry i don't have the greatest pics for you to see.

I don't think that you should worry about what others think about it. Who cares? No matter what there will be people that say "you should get a CF hood" or "CF hoods are ***".
I definitely think you should get it. I have one on my Milano Red lude and it looks great, but I do think it looks even better with gunmetal or bronze rims, but I guess I'm a lil partial to the JDM look too. here is a bad pic...
I am with you Mark, I cant tell if I like it or not. Sometimes it looks great though. I think with JDM's headlights, darker wheels and a lip like you have, it could look amazing.
If you send me a pic of your car I can PS a CF hood on it for you. Let me know

yep, i was just gonna say that. if judging from ur sig that u have jdm headlights and that cf front bumper lip, i think it will look really good. and with dark rims, it will look even better. or may rims with black nuggets. judging from the pics in the previous posts, i think it looks very good. in fact, i love cf hoods on a select few colors and red is one of them. the sad fact is, the general public wont know what that black hood is and think that its just a paint job gone wrong. only people who are into cars will know its cf. but then ur other option is to just paint the cf hood so u get the lighter weight and ur stock look. i guess u have to decide what exactly ur buying the hood for, for you or us, or for function or form.
