CEL question??????

i have been throwing vtec solenoid codes and i finally figured out that my vtec wiring was backwards when i did the swap. So now i have vtec (which i luv and cant seem to stay out of) but as soon as it started working im now getting a "heated" oxygen sensor CEL?????not sure why and or what it means?.....

Also my lude seems to back fire at shifts in vtec.....when i shift at like 6500 or above...it back fires in betwwn gears...PRETTY LOUD....i have a skunk2 catback and i did hollow out my cat.

any advice you guys have would be great?

you probably need a new o2 sensor, which might be why your experiencing "popping" you hear in the exhaust, you are probably runnin in "fail safe" mode and running even more so rich..
