CEL codes 6&7 how to fix ?

Posting this for a friend:

my CEL light came on and i checked the codes. i JUST fixed it, the timing belt tensioner went bad and a few other things. The codes are

6 Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT SENSOR)
7 Throttle Position (TP SENSOR)

how can i fix those? the TPS was replaced because it was broken. before adjusting it the car idle'd at 2000 rpm and it was like that for quite a while. now it's around 1000rpm. is the idle to high for the engine?

: another thing that i noticed is that the car dies unless it's warmed up. when the car is at running temp it sits at about 1200 rpm so it doesn't stall out. crower stage 2 cams are in there so it's kinda rough but it works
