CEL bullcrap - Bad ECU?
So I'm trying to get the code from CEL and it keeps doing this. No idea, but a friend on AIM said bad ECU. BTW excuse the ohio accent.
Video here:
http://media.putfile.com/Bullshat-91
For non-viewers, CEL comes on, blinks once, than stays solid. I leave the wires in the clip, try again - same thing. So the question is, whats an ECU going to cost me?

have you cleared the code to see if it comes back
pull the clock fuse from the under hood fuse box for 30 sec then test drive if it comes back and gives the same code i would say bad ecu

Apparently I'm the resident prelude mechanic. I dunno about that code. I thought not matter what it does before, if it goes solid, its probably a bad ecu...

also make sure you are jumping the right connector. I thought I remember getting a solid cel when I would accidentally jump the wrong connector.

That's the wrong one. The one you're looking for is blue and has two holes.

Wow - Didnt realize that. I saw a tutorial on preludezone.com and he used the three port connector.
Well, thanks for the information. Ah, the difference between a paysite and a free site.
Thanks again guys.

I was about to say. If you had a bad ecu you would be able to do anything. When i watched the video it didn't seem right. Well you got the help of jumping the correct connector. Good luck with fixing the problem. Temp Cool sensor isn't that bad.
