CDM heated mirrors

OK you crazy Guys up north get some heated mirrors, how does it work. while i been workin on my JDM mirror conversion, i notices there are some unused pin holes in the JDM harness and it got me thinking that maybe i wanna be stupid and add Heated mirror function tooooooooooo. so let see those mirrors, pics of the inside, any info on gettin it to work would be cool.

How it works is that we have a little button it he top left of our power mirror control with a picture of a mirror and those squigly lines. IT's the same placement of the button that folds in the JDM mirrors.

Click that on, it lights up and then heats the mirrors on the outside. My switch is f'd so sometimes I can hold it down and it'll warm the mirrors but I have to keep holding it. I was thinking of adding a really small switch and splicing the wires to use it instead of paying honda for a new piece.

whent heres ice/snow/frost/fog on the windows they get warm, and the stuff melts off.. if you touch the mirrors they are actually warm ..

I think thats a good rundown of it.

sweet

thats a cool option... are the heating elements running through the mirror like the rear window or is it behind it that just heats the entire unit?

I don't think you will be able to fit BOTH the heating element etc. of the heated mirrors AND the motor of the JDM folding mirrors in the mirror housing dude.

You can goto http://www.mytelus.com/phonebook/index.vm and lookup junkyards in Calgary ...
Area code is 403. (1-403-xxx-xxxx)
Calgary / Edmonton in province Alberta ... actually I think you can search all canada from this site .. look for junkyards, give a call, ask about payment/shipping over the border.

find a set in calgary and i can pickup/ship and accept paypal if you wanted to be safe.. pm me. ( I don't have time to shop around for you.. 1 CDN dollar == ~75cents us I think? www.xe.com)

hell yeah, hate him now, but you know if and when he does it, you'll all be like btw lemme know if you have any luck, if I can get a set of folding mirrors for under a buck and half (lol, they shouldn't even be that expensive), I'd love to have heated mirrors to brave through this miserable season.
