Cause Of A Dead Battery???

One morning my battery was dead...Days before, the battery light kept flickering on and off randomly...especially turning off when accelerating and back on when decelerating or braking. So, I got my battery recharged at Autozone and that night I put the battery back into tha car. The next morning I went to start her up and the battery was completely dead!

(The night before she wouldnt start; she'd crank but wouldn't turn over. )
What I am asking is WHAT IS THE CAUSE OF THE DEAD BATTERY (I made sure i didnt leave any electrical components on; i.e. NO lights were left on) ?

Could it be:
-A short...if so where do I start?
-Bad ground
-???

Thank You in advance

-Could this be the reason why my car isnt starting?
-I tried listening for the fuel pump to prime but I didnt hear anything...is it easily heard?
-Where under the driver's side dash, specifically, is the main relay? What does it look like? Code? Color?

First of all, you didn't mention how old the battery is. They don't last forever.
Did you have Autozone test it when they charged it?
Is it a sealed or non-sealed battery?

2 possibilities here:

1) Your battery is dead and needs to be replaced. Have it checked at autozone if didn't already.
2) Your alternator is not providing enough current to recharge the battery. If the battery checks out ok, remove the alternator and take it in to autozone and get it checked as well.

i would get the alt. checked.. sounds like the battery is not getting enough charge to replunish itself or, your battery cant hold a charge anymore in which case new battery. check your battery ground wire tho just in case its all frayed and falling apart.

The battery is good. I got it recharged to 13 volts.
Terminals are good.

Can someone please answer the questions at the bottom of my post?

If you still insist on checking the relay:

Removing aftermarket alarm

That isn't your problem though....

i am having the same problem right now. But the battery that was in my lude was a piece of **** so i took my brand new battery out of my 99 eclipse and put it in my lude. I think that is why i am having problems. the eclipse battery is smaller than the one that came out of my prelude. i'm going to go get a new battery this week and if i'm still having this problem...the alternator is getting tested
