Got the jdm h22 swap all done, got my header/downpipe from john (preluderacer023) and all is well.
UNTIL last night.. freakn altenator belt broke.... last week. battery went and the radiator cracked.. well. thats 3 things. I hope nothing more goes wrong.
Cuse Oct 6th will be my first time back to autox ... w/ now a jdm h22 and gc coilovers and tokico struts.
no problems fitting it.. but to change the oil i gotta remove it. the oil cap fits aboooooooout 1/8th an inch below it.
So.. as soon as i go to paint he valve cover (gotta remove the bar) i'll be leaving it off and selling it and getting the vtec one, which is slightly higher and placed back a bit.
2600 shipped from steve, 400 for my friend to install (he hooked me up nice) about 200 in parts (water pump, belts, etc etc) but we ended up not using the belts, cuse they didnt match up to the H23 a/c compressor.. so we used the h23 pullies and belts.
So with that tight clearance is there a possiblity of the engine hitting it when it revs and moves around? Sorry to ask so many questions. It looks nice, do you like having 200 horsies
ya. well. i had 4 tonight. altenator started whining and went out. gotta replace that tommorrow now. hehe.. shoulda dont it when i did the freakn belt. oh well.. after that. should be done.
Do you have the Si tranny, if you do the gears are a little taller.
If you have the money, or when you finally break the tranny, you might want to consider going with the VTEC tranny. Shorter gearing helps take advantage of the higher rpm shift points.
I'm not saying you're going to break the tranny either, just speaking from experience that if you race a lot, it will wear out.
we should have a big ritual so our preludes will stop having problems..at least try something..this lude has put me in the poorhouse,i cant even afford to pay attention.
