Hey,

I noticed yoyu have the nuespeed strut bar. Is that from an SI? Did you have any probs with it fitting with the VTEC in it.

Thanks,
J

hahah funny you mention =]

no problems fitting it.. but to change the oil i gotta remove it. the oil cap fits aboooooooout 1/8th an inch below it.

So.. as soon as i go to paint he valve cover (gotta remove the bar) i'll be leaving it off and selling it and getting the vtec one, which is slightly higher and placed back a bit.

Looks nice. How much did you full swap end up costing you?

2600 shipped from steve, 400 for my friend to install (he hooked me up nice) about 200 in parts (water pump, belts, etc etc) but we ended up not using the belts, cuse they didnt match up to the H23 a/c compressor.. so we used the h23 pullies and belts.

so about 3200-3300

So with that tight clearance is there a possiblity of the engine hitting it when it revs and moves around? Sorry to ask so many questions. It looks nice, do you like having 200 horsies

Thanks,
J

ya, definetly enough clearance to keep it on. Just be anouying to change the oil and all.

I just ran it w/out the ps belt.. wow. 2500-5k rpms revs so much smoother.. time to invest in a PS Pulley. =]

Do you have the Si tranny, if you do the gears are a little taller.

If you have the money, or when you finally break the tranny, you might want to consider going with the VTEC tranny. Shorter gearing helps take advantage of the higher rpm shift points.

I'm not saying you're going to break the tranny either, just speaking from experience that if you race a lot, it will wear out.
