No, no one makes carbon fiber body parts for preludes (excl hods). You could get it custom done, but I'd estimate you would have to pay 3-4 times as much to have the work done in carbon instead of metal.

Why? I've never seen CF quarter panels for a civic. Its not like you can just bolt one quarter panels, it takes a LOT of filling and sanding to get them aligned properly. Id hate to get in a wreck with those too.
They have FRONT CF quarter panels for Civics. I saw one in a magazine recently.
What exactly is the rear quarter panel on a Prelude? I understand the front panel, but isn't the rear pretty much part of the whole car
Using cantdrives car as an example, are you looking to replace from the door to the tail lights, up to the roof. I'm sorry, but I am seriously confused.

Thats exactly my point. You cant just "bolt a new rear quarter panel on". With metal units, they have to be welded in, then have the welds ground down, and then finished with body filler. . .no way to do that with CF.
Rear quarter panal is part of the entire body of the car, it cannot just bolt off and bolt on. You have to cut and weld it back together... thus making it impossible for you to get a carbon fiber rear quarter panal. You can make an entire shell out of carbon fiber (i.e. HKS CF Altezza) and unbolt the whole shell off your frame and put that one on.

yes and no, if you take it from the back of the door to the tail light and have it only go like up to the bottom of the rear window you could bondo it to mix the metal and cf together and then paint and you would never know . but that seems like more work than it' s worth so dead idea now.
So ur saying ur gonna have only that section carbon fiber? Picture that ....... looks weird and odd

what would be the advantage of doing this? Weight savings? I can think of much better (easier) ways to get of weight.
LoL... with all that bondo u have to use to get it on..... you'll probably add more weight than save it

Actually the HKS altezza body isnt carbon fiber its just a CF look alike paint job.

Uh... first off carbon fiber is a material and is nearly impossible to make it into a liquid substance such as paint. You should go read the article on Super Street about the HKS Altezza, a company like HKS would not do a "look-a-like" paint job on a high performance car.

The HKS Altezza was designed to do one thing: haul ass on a track. Every element of that car is tuned to one specific track in hopes they could set a lap record with it (If I remember correctly, they were sucessful). They painstakingly shaved weight and designed the aerodynamics package. . .nothing on that car is "look alike"; it look alike a fast ass car.
