Carbon Fiber moldings

Has anyone seen a carbon fiber rear window lower mold piece? Shew... that was a mouth full! If so, where can I get it? I am sick of looking at the rust color and want something that is going to last. I don't want to replace it every year!

I think Andy is talking about the strip of molding that is below the rear windshield. This strip is between the rear window and the trunk.

For some reason it is very common for this strip to rust over time and I'm not sure what your options are. Mine happens to be rusting as well and I think I'm just going to sand it down, prime it a few times and give it a few thin coats of flat black rustoleum paint.

If you are looking for a carbon fiber replica, there is a thread in this forum from Bluelude1 (I think that is his name), and he is working with a guy to fabricate a few things in carbon. If there is enough interest, he might make that piece for us. I would consider buying that in carbon if he produced it.
