Car Won't Start. Any suggestions?

I seem to have this problem sometimes. Sometimes it starts and sometimes it doesn't. But Recently It just hasn't started. I try to turn the engine on but it just turns and doesn't turn on. Lights, Stereo everything else works. I've tried replacing the s. plugs but still same problem. It just turns but doesn't turn on! >:[

i think he is saying that the starter is turning things, but its just not "working" as in starting and running. Fuel pump fuse? Unplug the battery to reset the ECU and check the fuses. Those are simple things. But if its turning over like you said, its most likely not your battery connections.....

I havn't checked the started. I've resetted the ECU and cheecked all fuses. My friend is telling me that it could be the distributor. I can't seem to bring it in for diagnostics since I can't even start it!

This was happening to me, I just replaced the battery terminals with some heavy big ones. Did the job perfect and has started every time since.

It is very common for the fuel pump relay to go out in out cars. Just pick one up from honda for like $40 bucks. It solved all my problems when my car would start sometimes but not all the time.

Well I just had my dad check for me today, he said it might be a fuel problem since he check the distributor and said electric was still sparking. When you say Fuel Pump Relay, is that called "Main Relay?"

I'm not sure if the energy is getting gas. Electric is going through the distributor. Would you guys have more suggestions?

No the fuel relay is under the hood in the fusebox, the main relay is located in the drivers side footwell, up under the steerin wheel on the lefthand side.

I had the same problems with my lude not starting, it turned out the main relay was faulty, my mechanic just gave me a main relay out of an Accord he had at the shop and I have been fine ever since.

Well a test that would be safe to tell if your getting gas is turn the key on the ignition, Allow the starter to rotate the engine a few times and then remove a spark plug and see if you smell gas from that cylinder.

What did your father do to see if you are getting a spark?

Yea, im talking about the main fuel pump relay under the dash by the steering column. I would give it a 98% chance that that is you problem.

Well He removed one of hte wires off the distributor and told me to turn on the engine. He said electric is flowing. Just doesn't know why its not turning on. He checked the sparks. No gas smell.
