During night time when there's a little bit of light (like a street light for instance), I look at my stock factory painted silver 'lude and notice that fender paint (applies for both sides) looks darker than the rest of the silver paint on the car (as in from the door to the rear of the car). I know for a fact that car has never been wrecked. However, during the daytime it looks all perfect.
Most ludes used a pearl mix from the factory paint, making it extreemly hard to match..looks like your door got banged and they did the best they could to match it but they couldn't
how do you claim that you know that it has never been hit? it may have never been in much of an accident but maybe someone scraped up the quarter panel in a parking lot or something and got it fixed and repainted.
My aunt, who bought the lude back in 98 with 9k miles told me that the dealer told her it was just the way the fender was angled or positioned or something like that. She also told me he showed her other preludes at the time and they were the same way. I guess... *shrug*
I checked carfax and no history reports of any accidents or anything like that..
