Car too low, raise ride height?

I'm in the market for this kids' 94 Prelude with a H22 in it. The car sits realllyyy low. He said the kid before him cut the springs? or whatever it is you cut to lower the car cheaply. In order for me to drive the car over the winter, even to just make it up my driveway, I need to raise it up. I've tried researching, but I don't even know what I'm looking for. Something stock is ok, im not ready for performance yet. I just want the car off the ground and at a safe driving height. What do I buy to get it up? I've searched stickies and threads, and its just not helping me. Thanks so much in advance guys.

If you want to raise back up to stock height look for someone selling some used oem springs. Install them and you'll be back to normal.

OEM springs huh? A friend told me to search ebay for Struts. what do the struts do then? and how high is normal ride height? Is there generous ground clearance so i dont have to creap around every bump i see? This will be my first honda. I used to drive a 99 Neon R/T. I loved the stock ride height on it. Thanks a bunch for the reply.

You either need OEM springs or coilover sleeves (like Ground Controls). Struts are the shocks.

Alright thanks. It occured to me today also, that since the car was lowered so low, wouldn't the stock struts have a hard time bein so low? is it common for them to blow out? i was thinkin bout getting that Tokiko strut/coil kit non-adjustable off ebay, is that gonna give me the ride height i need? or is it less? it didnt give specs about its height.

Most off the shelf shock is going to be the normal height. That's a decent upgrade from oem.
