Car starting to piss me off.........

My car is starting to be a pain now. My JDM Headlights, one of the bulbs (small one) is out and seems like I have to take off the whole thing to replace it. Anyone Know how to take off the whole JDM piece headlights? Do I need to take off the bumper? And how do I do that? Also, the headlights fogs up inside?
And my hood won't poop, my antenna is dead, my spearkers are messed up, sick of my car.

dont worry. my speakers suck too and 2 of them are blown. and if you have a cd player you dont need your antenna. and for you jdm lights, ill take them off your hands if your having problems with them. and for your hood you dont have to worry about theifs. im sure if you work on the hood you can fix it.

Re: Car starting to piss me off.........

Just hang tough. Just put a weekend and a little cash in to the car, doesn't sound to bad to me. My car came with blown speakers and a broken antenna and I fixed them and now I have had no problems with those parts. Rember your car isn't brand new and some stuff wears out. About the hood, maybe you just need to tighten the cable? Good luck, it could be worse, you could be driving a 1.6L Civic that everyone has.

You don't have to take off the whole headlight to replace that bulb. You can get to it from under the hood.

It depends on who you bought the JDMs from... I think.

Some come with an extension to the bulb that lets you get it w/o taking off the whole light. Some don't which means you have to take off the whole bumper.

I've never heard of someone useing an adaptor. The JDM marker light is the same blub as the US marker light, I used the bulb, connector, and plug from my original light. I can replace my bulbs easily from under the hood.

You don't have to remove the headlight to change the corner bulb. Granted, the driver's side is a pain, they can be changed quickly. I almost $%&* a brick last week when the small 194 bulb popped out of the socket and dropped into the housing. I managed to fish it out using a set of long tweezers and some sticky putty. Be sure the bulbs are secure in their sockets before attempting to screw the sockets in!

As for the other problems... well, I got sick of my speakers so I saved up and went all out with a custom 3-way Focal/kick panel setup, ditched the rears (rear fill sux), and put a false floor amprack in the trunk with a 12" sealed driver.

Got tired of blowing headlight bulbs too.. two sets of PIAAs and one set of Nokyas were enough for me. Solution: HID conversion is underway. It's not easy to do properly, especially with JDM headlights.

Dead antenna? Maybe the plastic teeth in the mast are stripped out. Loosen the nut at the base of the mast and pull the mast up. Replacement masts are cheap and simple to replace. Can you hear the motor "whir" when you turn the radio on/off?

I know I can do one side without taking the whole thing out but one of the sides looks like a real pain. there is something blocking it and it won't move.

You just have to be smarter than the part blocking access. This is where a bit of wrench time comes in. i just replace the bulbs in my JDMs, and it took a bit longer than it would have w/ the USDMS, but it's not that big of a hassle. It's all about the elbow grease.

Time to get dirty...
