okay, my car does this thing....well, its only happened twice. the car will stall, the oil light will come on when the car stalls. i try to start it back, it kinda starts and gurgles, the oil light comes on. then i try to start it (motor turning via starter) and the oil light is on. the car doesnt start. i let it sit for a bit and then it finally starts and runs fine. it has happened twice in the past month. any ideas?
I've been seeing this lately too, but my car doesn't stop. It just sounds like it's about the die and the idle gets very low. I checked the oil, and I'm fine there.
Idle screw? What's it called IACV or something? I'm going to try adjusting that.
i read something on newegg or ebay that the router v5 was trash unless you ran thrid party firmware. we have an older on at home that it doing fine. i wasnt sure if the linksys was the way to go of it another company was better

My car just recently did this. Within the past 2 month. The engine randomly dies when it is very hot out and my AC is on. Try restarting it. It cranks, but wouldn't fire. Let it sit for a bit (about 3 minutes) and it fires right up.
In the past, when it is hot out, when I kill the engine, and try restarting it again within 15 minutes or so, it wouldn't fire.
I'm thinking this a carbon related problem. Because when I beat the engine and blow all the crap out, it doesn't stall, idles normally, and have no problem restarting. So that's my excuse for beating the piss out of my 200k mile engine on a daily basis.
Oh, and don't worry about the oil light. It's supposed to come on when the engine is not on. If it comes on and your engine is on, you have a problem (obviously).
I guess you can start with your typical Regane or Chevron Techron. Removing your intake, cleaning your TB. Clean out your EGR valve, etc. I've been too lazy to try to fix it as it goes away when the weather gets cooler.
