car jumping when first started........

When I start my car sometimes I can push the gas but the car
boggs down and then a second later will accelerate. And it doesnt
have as much power as it used to??? SO I figured its time to tune it up a little.
SO last year I already replaced the sparkplugs, the wires, the
rotor, dist. cap used a pricey fuel cleaner just for ****s.

SO yesterday I thought fuelfilter was probaly it, so I replaced it
and cleaned and regaped plugs and cleaned my aftermarket filter.

And it is still doing it. I am going to reset ECU and see what that
does since maybe the ECU was trying to make up for the lack of gas????

Just need to know if you guys have had this trouble or have any ideas. Only two things that I can think of are Fuel pump or coil...
is there anyway to test these with them in there locations especially for the pump? like using a meter to test continuity or something???
thanks

I don't know about the coil but fuel pump problems that I have had are either the car won't start at all or insufficient fuel at higher rpms. Are your intake and fuel system stock? Sounds to me like its running a little rich but I don't have a clue as to why. You don't have any error codes popping up either?

A side note out of curiosity, you have a fuel filter that you can clean? I never heard of that before.

no, I'm sorry I meant I have a air filter that I cleaned so I know its not plugged or anything? Ya, what you said about the fuel pump makes sense. I am going to reset ECU after the giants win game one of the world series!!!
