CAR getting PAINTED Friday......What Color??? HURRY!!! - Honda Prelude Forum

ok, i got the wings west rs lip kit and i already gave my car to the paint shop...they have to prepare it and get all the nicks and scratches out but friday they begin the actual painting. im leaving the inside of the trunk and under the hood milano red, but the whole exterior and door jambs can be whatever color but i wanna stick with red so it doesnt look too off when i do open the hood. thing is...i want a very metallic red and i can choose from any 2003 ppg color, import or domestic. they have the classic ferrari red....lamborghini red...dodge viper red...as you can see, im going for a red by a shnazzy car manufacturer but none of those have metal flake in them. so i find this color that is perfect...very metallic....nice cherry red...but its a fu(king 2003 saturn color! i couldnt bear to tell people i painted my car the color saturns come from the factory! that would be disgusting...but its a great color. should i just paint it a non-metallic bad ass red like the ferrari or lamborghini or even NSX red (all of which by the way are close to milano red). id rather not paint it back milano red simply because thats the main honda red color...want it to stand out a little. i really wanted a metallic milano red, but that doesnt exist. and all the metallic reds are darker and more brown than milano red. if you try to find a lighter shade...they are all burnt orange. should i go ahead with the saturn metallic red? toyota and mazda both have a nice version of "red mica metallic" but they would both require the addition of a lot more metalflake to get to the quantity i desire. or should i go with nsx, ferrari, or lamborgini red...which is just flat red? keep in mind, im getting 3 deep clear coats as well so it will be reflective/glossy as hell no matter what. opinions please! and HURRY!!! i have to declare the color by noon on friday!!!!!

if you really like the saturn red just get it no one cars just tell them its a GM Color...as a side note i thought that the ferrari red was so vibrant because at the factory the base coated with a yellow to contrast the red.

i have a porshe red on mine...its red/orange...here is a pic of the car the day i got it back from the shop and after its first wash...dont worry that wing is gone so dont bother me about that

Either supersonic blue pearl (not epb) or S2k charcoal grey.

MISANO RED. yes misano, not milano. the special edition Audi TT's and some M3's you'll see are in that color. I saw the Audi TT Misano red in person and almost had to change my pants... the car was imported from europe cause the guy was in the army... search www.google.com for misano red, you should be able to find pics (although they wont do it justice)

im not a real fan of red ...toohigh for insurance and atracts speeding tickets...that orange color that shadow has is phat ..you should get that i dont believe i have seen anyone else with that.
