Car backfiring a bit

i noticed today that when i rev it and let the rpm's die down, i hear some deep gurgling / muffled backfires coming from the engine.

i only have an intake, but thats not whats making the noise. in my old car, the exhaust had leaks and the cat was bad, cauing it to backfire a whole lot, could this be my problem now?

look for small holes somewhere in the exhaust, i had the same thing because there was a hole in a weld on my exhaust that was the size of a penicil tip.

Had that fixed but, still getting the same problem mildly. Had the plugs, plug wires, ignitor, and rotor recently changed. Can't pinpoint the problerm.
