It would be fine to use it, it shoudlnt even run bad, only problem youll have is no vtec, and your redline is going to be at 6400rpm.

And you won't have a knock sensor, but you didn't have that before.

But on the bright side your Secondary IAB's will work too...

It should work fine. I'm doing a swap on my car now and I'm using
my old h23 ecu, and the guy said he will take out the h23 ecu rev limiter so I can rev higher. He also said I would be able to use my v-tec too I will get more info for you when I'm done with it

you WILL have a knock sensor reading with the p14 ecm. and it'll run just fine till you get your p13 ecm.

Yes they are wrong! My Helm says it has one and I even broke mine on my H23 when I was trying to remove the connector on it.

Could you just set up a V-AFC to kick on the vtec solinoid at the right RPM? Then you might not need to get a p13 ecu...

I really don't know if this will work. I'm just thinking out loud so to say..

I dont think so. I think you need the ecu to do the switch over and the VAFC just can change the cross over point.

The crossover just piggybacks the ECU link the VTEC solenoid anyway doesn't it? So in theory if it was the only thing connected to the VTEC solenoid it should still work I think...

tou dissconnect the wire controlling your vtec solinod from your ecu when you install a vafc, your vtec controller completly controlls it then

Yes it'll work. I've ran mine for about a year, before I found a '95 H22A ECU for $408.

Since you have an H23 before. You should have a Knock sensor. The only thing that you won't have is VTEC.

"NO". VAFC won't engage your VTEC. It'll activate the selanoid, but VTEC won't work, because you don't have the extra fuel into the motor. Your car will just feel slower like your pulling something.

The theory works, but reall life doesn't. I've tried it.

Just plug in the ECU and drive a normal Prelude SI until you get a VTEC ECU and then drive like a Prelude VTEC...lol...

So using the "hi" map to correct the fuel map to the proper flow rates won't work?
