Can I get some feedback?? (vid)

Hey guys I was just wondering if you could take a look at this video I made of me pushing my car almost to its limits, and tell me anything that I am doing wrong with my launch, shifting, and so on. Also it would be nice if you can tell me if the way my car is driving is typical. (0-60, launch, bla bla bla) I already know people will look at this video and say o god another street "ricer" but I just did this because I want some feed back on my driving. I also plan to be going to the track to get some real times. I am just very unknowledgeable in the area :P. If anyone would like to tell me a good strip that I could take my car to that is ok for beginners and that is cheap I would appreciate it. Thanks! (Ignore the idiot talking in the background lol)

my vid

i see the vid. hmm your friend is AMAZINGLY annoying.

but about your driving. seems like you could have definitely shifted later. you can dip into the red and still not hit the limiter. take it to like 7600 and see how it feels.

and get some gas!~

Agreed on your friend's commentation.

Your driving seems fine, but you could shift faster.

um, JDM H22 fuel cutoff is at 7800, unless you have an upgraded valve train, you're not hitting 8k while still being safe with your engine.

and yes, your friend needs to learn how to shut the hell up.

you need to get used to shifting faster, and shift at 7200, as thats the where the peak power is.

How are you guys hitting 7800rpm and not hit rev limiter? I have an JDM 94 H22A swap in my 92 H23 non vtec with the proper EL Vtec cluster; my rev limiter kicks in at 7400rpm.
I'm using the P13 H22a ECU.

Sorry to highjack your tread but i do not want to see you wreck your car because of an incorrect statement.

That's werid, because thats the normal fuel cut for a H23. Is that the redline for you in every single gear?

stock rev-limiter on my 93 h22a1 was 7600-7800 verified by a VAFC-II. running uberdata now and changed it to 8k even.

bad idea. Its red for a reason. Check the specs on the oil pump's flow characteristics. Not made for it.

Ok well i hate cardomain, they never work and slow as crap, so i don't know your setup, but whenever you shift do you take your foot completely off the pedal then slam it back down? cause i keep hearing a click after your shifts. You gotta be able to hear those tires chrip after a shift. foot on clutch, gas to about 30%, shift, push your gas down and let go of that clutch. You should be quick enough with gear changes that the tack should never redline with the clutch in.

That dead time where you let the clutch out while pressing in the gas causes the engine to drag for a tiny about of time. <--that causes the car to be slowed. You want the engine putting the power down before you let go of the clutch.

My method my cut .2 off your time, but its harder on equipment.

Sorry to be an ignoring but my car use to be an H23 non vtec. And like someone mention above that the redline was 6600rpm, He/she is correct.
After i swap in the H22a from a halfclip, i now redline at 7400rpm with the 94 el cluster.
Unless i am missing out some info here, can someone enlightened us?
The only differences IMO is that Vtec kicks in at 4500rpm, 500rpm earlier than the stock usdm which is at 5000rpm.

care to share these oil pump flow characteristics you speak of? my car seems fine.

the rev-limiter keeps you safe. as long as you dont bounce off the limiter every shift, i dont think dipping into the red hurts anything. got any proof?
