Camshafts....

If i got replacement camshafts for my F22B to open up the engine some more, what lift increase should i look for (custom) to keep all stock electronics? How much power increase should i expect?

I just .440" lift for my H23 and they're awsome....pull like crazy. I don't think you can go that big w/o modifying the head. I had to. Cams are good for 10-15 hp.

Buy off the shelf H23 cams, they're the same engine, just a bore difference (87mm vs 85mm). You'll save money that way.

You have to push the valve guide down 50 thousandths. When you put in a high lift cam in it pushes the rocker down further and in this case so far that it hits the stem seal and you get nothing good form that. Any machine shop can do the mod, so I've heard. I'd leave the mod to the company that sold the cams. I'm using a JG head and cams. I don't know what lift you can run w/o mods. The gas milage is down a little but the performance makes me look the other way.

if the f22b head is the h23a head, then theoretically all f series heads go together, right? then since the h23 head fits the f22b, then it would fit a f22a, right?
