i was all set to buy skunk2 stage 1 cams but now ive been offered an accord euro R head complete with cams for $600.

what would be the best option for me to go for ?

The Euro R head man. Good cams, ported head, better valve angles.

ive been doing some searching around and the accord type R make 212hp (174whp)on 11:1 compression and ive read the skunk2 stage ones will make 185whp on 10:6 compression.

can anyone confirm this ?

I can't confirm that, but I would assume the 185 with skunk2 stage 1's is not with a stock i/h/e. The Accord Type R had a more restrictive exhaust that kept it's #'s lower. It should basically be 220hp like the Euro R & Type S, which is good for 190+ whp, or 185-190 whp on 10.6:1 compression.
