Calling all JDM 1 piece owners! Help!

I just got my lights today and to make a long story start. I recently got into an accident and busted both of my headlamps but luckily I had the JDM on order and it came in today. Today, when I tried to install the JDM 1 piece it wouldn't fit properly? I can get the wiring down but I can't physically install the light. The light itself actually do fit into the wholes but when trying to install either the corner piece would stick out or the headlamp itself would be in an awkward position. Any help would be apperciated. Thanks in advance.

Mine fit perfectly. Do you have the bumper cover and metal bumper off?

If not, that will give you the extra clearance needed.

Oh serious? Well I also have to add the fact that I crashed my Left Fender also and today i knocked the fender dents back out and repainted it. It was probably because I tried to see if the headlamp will fit through the fender holes. Thanks for the replay.

I'd have to say the reason they might not fit is b/c of your accident.. I had the same problem. I hit a deer on the right side.. well the left light fit just fine.. but the right side i still have not gotten right. It shoots left and down. Makes for horrible lighting at night.. I can't see the right side of the road hardly at all. I had to bend some of the metal bumper pack into place to get it to fit on there and get the beam a lil higher.. it's still not near right.. but I'm workign on it.. So check out all the parts on the front of your car.. I dunno the extent of your damages. Hope this helps.

to take the headlights off, the front bumper must come off.

the alignment problem is because of the fenders. the JDM headlights are OEM parts and should fit perfectly.

Hey guys thanks for reponding. I found out the source of my problem and I found out it was because of the dented fender. And yes you do have to take off your bumper to get the lights fitted on. I paid 350 used for mines. It came with wiring hardness, h1,h4 and the corner bulbs. I got mines through a friend and the only reason why i bought it was because I busted my other headlamps and thought I might as well get a pair. I can't believe how good these lights look in real life and it's a shame these aren't oem in North America.

He has a point..well i dunnos...let's supposed the USDMs were JDMs and vice versa..so JDM enthusiasts would want the 2 piece lights instead...hmm..I dunnos about that now..

Probably right. But there still get the better deal (i.e. rear wiper blade, nice climate control, etc).
