Cai Iceman Question

Hey guys,
I installed my ICEMAN CAI this morning and stumbled upon a very small 1/8 in tube that orginally went into the stock airbox tube. There is not a hole to plug it into the ICEMAN. What is it and what am I supose to do with it. Any harm leaving it out? I saw my friends prelude with an AEM and his intake did come with a hole to plug that tube in. What am I suppose to do now?????

Are you talking about the hose that connects to the stock intake, Right next to the throttle body?

With some intakes, they say to remove that line and put a filter over the little hole you leave...

I think your talking about a vaccum line that controls a valve the allows air to take a less resistive passage in the stock intake.

The one that connects to the resonator right? That's what I was thinking at first, but he said his friends AEM has a connection to this mysterious hose...

Thant hole in the line is too small to suck up anything so I left mine open and there has never been a problem.

I think Brendon 2k is right.

If you look under the hood it says something like, its the vacuum starter hose. I don't know if it will hurt performance or my engine if I leave it off. Right now its just out there on top of my intake sucking up engine air I guess. I just want to know what the majority of guys have done. And yes, AEM does have a plug to plug that it, just like a stock intake does.

AEM and STOCK intake = 2 holes to be plugged in.

ICEMAN= only 1
