A/C filter change ?'s

I was reading in the 5th gen forum, just browsing because of boredom, i came accross something titled "This is why you should change your A/C filter" Is this seriously necessary?

4th gens don't have filters so this doesn't apply to us.

we dont' have that, but yes we do have fileter, it just not as easy to clean like th 5th gen. ask aboslute on this

4th gen have no A/C filter and I think 5th gen only got this in the 99+
