i noticed that whenever i come to a stop that there is smoke coming out from under the hood and smells like burning oil. when i checked my oil, the oil level is good. is the car leaking some other fluid?

I know when I changed my oil I would always drip some on the exhaust. It would burn off and go away.

Is yours constant? You might have a leak that is hitting something really hot then melting the oil causing the smell and smoke. I would just check where the leak is coming from if you can find the source of the smoke. Then start checking gaskets.

this is so frustrating...

ever since i've owned my car, there hasn't been a time where it's not leaking something. usually motor oil.

i think you're right about oil hitting the exhaust, cuz i don't notice any leaks from any of the seals around the engine.

Oil Filter not tight?
Or, oil cooler O-Ring failing. Either one will drip oil on the exhaust pipe.

oil coming out of the sender will get on the exhaust. It is right above the exhaust pipe. Could be a culprit. I had a greddy oil filter adapter and it leaked. Smelled too when it got on the exhaust. Did exactly what you are talking about.
