"a lot" isn't a very good measurement. I use mobile 1 synthetic 5w-30 in my super charged h22 and i don't really notice any usage beyond normal. Normal for me is around 1/2 quart per 3000 miles.

Uh join the club. If you really took a moment to think about it, our cars are over 10+ yrs old unless u have like a 96. Most people are still running on their 1st engine so it would only be natural for a HIGH milage motor to burn oil. Also H-motors in general consume oil esp if you have a vtec motor and are on it alot. Also, my co-worker in his 93si goes through about a quart every 3-4 days. 2 quarts on really hot days.

3 quarts in about 1250 miles? hmm... well I wouldn't say your car is in great shape then.

If you are burning oil like that, your engine may have baked piston rings and or other problems with the head as well. You need to think about a rebuild or at least pull that head and start inspecting stuff. Hope that isnt ur only ride because it could be a bit of time to get things fixed.

Not to mention rings wear. The more they wear, the more you burn oil. When you get to the point of not being able to stand the burning oil, you replace the rings. So you can decide what part of this equation you want to be at. However, none of the above involved COMPLAINING!
