Burning oil

Well I just checked my oil and I needed to add over a quart. this is odd because I only had my oil changed about 1500 miles ago. Im not leaking any oil that I know of and the last time I had it checked out....which was when i had the oil changed it was clean....so after 1500 miles I needed to add a quart and the oil was fairly black. any suggestions?

well if you have VTEC, and your in it alot, your car is prone to eat up oil like crazy, just a part of life! Just keep adding.

When you start your car one day after its been sitting over night like .. check to see if you have a puff of smoke shoot out of it, and stay there for a while til it warms up some ..

somtimes valve guides ? (correct me if im wrong somebody) go bad and leak oil into the cylinder when the engine cools off (they compress) and when they heat up they seal properly again ..

my car doesn't leak oil hardly (oil pan gasket needs changing as well as the oil pan bolt needs a new o-ring) and I do 3qts per 2000miles when I change it ... ... and I've got a 2.3 non vtec

I'll chime in here, my car only burns 1 & 1/2 quart every 3K or so...
currently I'm leaking about a 1/2 qt every 500 or so from my oil pan gasket, and oil pressure switch.

Has anyone tried that Restore product? I think some one tried it and they got back most of their compression, it reduced blow-by and oil consumption.
