bumper lights

hey does anyone know how to have both of the bumper lenses lit up when the headlights are on? i think only the outer ones are lit and the inner ones blink when signaling. any help is appreciated.

wire it up! cross the wires.....

as in connect the wires running from the side lights with the front lights

Front light+ - just cut and tape them
Side Light + - (connect these with the + and - on the front light)

I haven't done this, but that makes sense to me

probably would work but sounds like it might melt the wires or underpower bulbs if you ran both off just the side marker wires

What if you just reversed the wires in the back of the front signal? Would it stay on then?

there is a reason why it is wired this way.

in america you must have amber on the front corners of your car at all times. to make it like that the outside is always one and then turns off when the inside turns on, and so on.

but then there is also a law about how many lights can be on in the front of your car. hence why foglights turn off when you turn on the high beems, because you are only alowed 4 driving lights on at a time

^^interesting - I don't know too much about laws and stuff....as far as that goes

But as far as the crossing of the wires and stuff, that may try to put too much current through the wires and either short out something or pop a fuse. I highly doubt they are made to run all on.

In Kentucky and Arkansas (at least where I live) vehicle laws don't mean anything, lol.

i live in elk grove california, the little city making a big move on street race (their opinion is a modified import)

so you have anything small they pull you over and pop your hood

300 dollar fine per illegal part, 3 or more and they impound your car

the lights have to be ones that are meant to shine and project forward...the corner lights do not do this, thus it is not a problem...but if someone were to hook up additional foglights to the JDM ones and have them all at once (low beams, jdm fogs + another set of fogs), then this might pose a problem, as you would have too many lights on...

on a side note, not having corners or reflectors on the front or rear is also illegal, as a car coming directly towards you perpendicularly would not be able to see you...take for example, the rear tail lights...notice they don't have reflectors on the side built into them? thats why we have the rear bumper side markers that serve as reflectors and the corner light mandated by DOT...

its just so that the front bumper signals will stay on constantly wen your headlights are on (and will also blink when you signal)....
