bumper light problem

hey guy's,i have a little problem.

car info first,92 prelude si all stock, auto.

i installed clear bumper light's today.bumper light's worked fine before install.
to install the clear lenses,i had to cut and replace the side light connector(#1 in the pic)because it used a larger bulb.

#1 in pic should be on with the switch turned forward one click, correct?
and be on with headlight's on(switch forward two click's)correct?
#2 is the turn signal,correct?
#2 should not be on unless the turn switch is activated left or right, correct?

right now,#1 will blink with #2 when the turn signal is activated.not normal, right?

here's the main problem.

on driver's side only,turn signal(#2)work's fine.

parking light(#1)light will stay on with the car off and light's off.

i checked the voltage,green/yellow wire has 12v with light's and car off.
when the light's are turned on (1 and 2 click's forward)green/yellow wire has about 5v.

i checked all the bulb's,there fine.
i need to check the fuses(got dark and i could not find a flashlight.)
i'll check more in the morning.
if anyone can point me in the right direction, that would be great, thank's.

Uhm, where did you get the clear turn signals from? You shouldn't have had to replace the bulb socket

1 and 2 are supposed to blink at the same time with the lights off. If the lights are on, they alternate (1 first, then 2, and so forth).

Since you cut up wiring, sounds like you might have accidentally grounded a wire somewhere

i got the light's from a guy selling them locally.
checked the wiring,look's good.
i only changer 2 bulb socket's,1 on each side.
i cut the wire's individually, and used crimp connector's.i was careful not to let any wire touch anything.

also,i checked fuses.they are all good.
but, when i pull the 15 amp blue fuse under the hood marked INTERIOR LIGHT'S,the #1 light's on the bumper go out.other headlight's and turn signal's will still operate.

i pulled the turn/hazard relay, but the green/white wire on the driver's side still has 12v power with the light's off.

when the left turn signal is active the power reads 12v than drops to about 5v,back to 12,than 5 and so on.

this friday i'm pulling the front bumper to inspect all the wiring.

if anyone has had this problem, please point me in the right direction.

-Harvey.

Have you tried re-attaching the original bulb harness?

I'm curious what vehicle those turn signals came from that they have a different sized bulb opening...
